Your Local Chiropractor

I regularly visit a Chiropractor. The reason I go is that I receive almost immediate pain relief. Previously my GP used to give me painkillers and anti inflammatories and send me on my way. I realised that the pain killers were just masking the pain and I was unable to tell whether my physical activity was making the complaint worse or not.

By sheer luck I met a chiropractor and he was puzzled by the manner in what I was doing and I told him the reason for not using one arm… he asked me 3 questions dis some tests and then performed a treatment and within 3 minutes the strength had returned to my arm as if by magic. I was converted

According to the (GCC), General Chiropractic Council a chiropractor (practitioners of chiropractic) is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health by using their hands ” manual therapies’ to treat disorders of the bones, muscles and joints. Chiropractors can assess patients in several ways either through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging and other diagnostic interventions to determine when chiropractic treatment is or isn’t appropriate. They use a selection of techniques, with a focus on manipulation of the spine. Chiropractors may also offer advice on nutrition, exercise, diet, and lifestyle, and rehabilitation programmes that involve exercises to do in your own time. Several chiropractors may also provide acupuncture and other alternative treatments. Chiropractors are used most often to treat neuro-musculoskeletal complaints, including neck pain, back pain, pain in the joints of the legs and arms, and headaches. Chiropractors will also refer patients to the appropriate healthcare provider when chiropractic care is not suitable for the patient’s condition, or the condition would be best managed in conjunction with other healthcare team members.
